GM's exhibition entitled 'Transportation Unlimited' opened at New York's Waldorf Astoria Hotel in January 1949. Attendance there and at a subsequent show in Boston topped half a million people. After a two-year hiatus, the exhibition returned, known as the Motorama. Official GM Photograph from the General Motors Media Archives of a 1949 Pontiac Chieftain Deluxe 8 Coupe.
