1925 Cadillac V-63 2-Door Coach |
A 1925 Cadillac V-63 2-door coach in a Hill Climbing Test at the GM Proving Grounds in Milford, Michigan. "The General Motors Proving Grounds' function is to test General Motors engineering under the most favorable scientific conditions and with the aid of the latest technical apparatus, first by identifying points of weakness as well as strength, and then by measuring them. Certainly, in no better way, probably in no other way, could we achieve the essential objective of giving constantly increasing value to General Motors' products." - Alfred P. Sloan, Jr., President of General Motors in 1924, quoted when the GM Proving Grounds were inaugurated.
